LARTC Construction Update: Finishing Touches

We're grateful for the ongoing support of dozens of churches, individuals and ministries that have enabled us to continue construction of the Latin America Resource & Training Center in Panama these last several months.  Here's a summary of the work that has been completed:

November 2020 to January 2021 - 1,260 feet of block perimeter security wall was built, adding to the existing 660 feet of wall that had been completed from 2017-2019. An electric security gate was also installed.

February to March 2021 - Sidewalks were built on the front and sides of the building.  Road and parking lot gravel base was laid and a tar sealant was applied.  Parking security lighting was also added.

April to August 2021 - Work focused on the building exterior. Roof line façade and soffits were completed. Downspouts were enclosed on the front and back of the building. The aluminum railing was added to the balcony on the back side of the building that hides the air conditioning compressors. The whole building was painted. These finishing touches to the building have made a world of difference.

August to September 2021 - Landscaping work in six of seven zones is nearly complete that includes planting about 900 square yards of sod and approximately 125 trees and shrubs, most in the triangle section between the two ramps up to the building, along the long security wall on the left side of the road and on the back side of the parking area.

We ask you to continue to pray for the ministry of the Center. Because of gathering restrictions due to Covid, activities have not yet resumed. We are trusting that we will be able to resume activities by late fall.

The four phases of construction work at the Center are nearly complete. All that remains is to complete the second floor of the phase four training addition. Please pray with us that an additional $40,000 will be given to complete this project.
