Toppenish WA Team
Prepares Las Mananitas For 2001
Rod and Sherry Boyd
Eight
men representing Toppenish Assembly of God, led by Pastor
Bruce Sullenger, continued work on the Las Mananitas
Secondary School. Rev. Mike Davis, Pastor of the Mabton
Assembly of God, was also a valuable member of the team. The
group completely blocked one classroom and started the
foundation and block work for the future staircase. They
also worked on another classroom. These two classrooms will
allow for a second 9th grade class and a dedicated computer
lab for the secondary school.
Pastor
Bruce and a deacon from the church, Kevin, came in July with
the Pasco team. The Lord touched them with the ministry of
LACC and the school at Las Mananitas. They went home
committed to get help for several students and to return if
possible. The Lord worked out the details and they returned
to Panama the end of January for 10 days. They were able to
bring gifts for the children they sponsor as well as
supplies for the school. Pastor Bruce and Pastor Mike
ministered in three different churches during their stay.
The
team was blessed with three Mexicans who were able to speak
Spanish and blend with the Panamanian culture. They spent
considerable time with the families of the children they
sponsor, learning about life in Panama. All of the men were
touched by the need in Panama.
Thank you, Pastor Bruce, Pastor Mike,
Kevin, Hildo, Tom, Misael, Roger and Jose. Please come back
soon!
Please pray for this school. Pray for the
new secondary director, Delia. Pray that God would supply
for all of the construction that must take place before
March 10th. Pray for the 50 children at the school who need
a sponsor.
