We are excited to announce
ground-breaking for the new Latin America Resource
and Training Center facilities, located in the
Pedregal area near the Panama City International
Airport. We are grateful to the Lord for his
miraculous provision for the Center project! After
looking at different properties in the area, God
opened the door to use a three-acre parcel that is
owned by the Panamanian Assemblies of God national
church. The property is located about 15
minutes from Panama City's Tocumen International
Airport and less than 1/2 mile from the Northern
Corredor, a principal highway that connects Panama
City to the airport.
The property has required a
significant investment for roadwork, entrance and
utilities to give access to the main road. The
property is divided by a small creek and will
require the construction of a bridge to reach the
back part of the property where most of the
construction will occur.
Rod and Sherry Boyd,
Directors, Miguel and Maria Morales,
Co-Directors, and Randy and Lynne Forsyth,
Project Coordinators, were present for the
ground-breaking ceremony. Foundation work has
begun on the first building that will house the
administrative offices of the Resource and Training
Center. Our plan is to move our offices in
July 2015 from their currently location in Panama
City to the new first phase building!
Please pray that generous
offerings will be given and that churches will
respond with building teams in coming months to
continue construction. Additional information,
updates, video and photos about the Latin America
Resource and Training Center are available at
www.LARTC.net.
From its central offices in
Panama and through international events and
ministries, the Resource and Training Center equips
hundreds of educational leaders, provides practical
training for thousands of teachers and develops and
distributes Christian education resources for
training and school programs throughout the 20
Spanish-speaking countries in the Latin America and
Caribbean region. The new facilities will allow the
Center to expand and strengthen its ministries.
